Doc Money Fish is a financial education platform founded by Dr. Peter Fisher.
Dr. Fisher is a fiduciary advisor, researcher, and co-founder of Human Investing, one of the largest independent financial services firms in Oregon.
With three decades of experience in financial services, Dr. Fisher led Human Investing as CEO for 21 years and now serves as Executive Chairman, guiding the firm’s Executive Leadership Team and helping them make great decisions that serve clients and their communities.
He launched Doc Money Fish to help young adults make better financial choices, with accurate information, trusted guidance, and the right institutions.
Dr. Fisher earned his B.A. in Economics and M.B.A., and his doctorate, which focused on financial literacy and financial behavior. A lifelong investor who made his first investment at the age of 14, he continues to study how financial knowledge influences behavior. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Cognition and Instruction, examining how young adults learn, process, and respond to financial information.
Through engaging videos, campus interviews, and practical lessons, Doc Money Fish helps people navigate life’s major financial moments, from buying a car and managing debt to saving and investing with confidence and clarity.
The mission: empower a new generation to make smart financial decisions, with accurate information, sound behavior, and trusted institutions.
Through this mission, Dr. Fisher aims to help 1 million young adults save and invest $1,000 each. By guiding them to collectively build $1 billion in smart money habits, he hopes they’ll experience the power of learning how money works, behaving wisely with it, and partnering with institutions that truly serve their best interests.
This billion is just the beginning , a foundation for a generation that keeps more of what they earn, makes thoughtful financial choices, and builds lasting confidence with money.
